This Privacy Policy explains how Mint Shelf, Inc. (“Mint Shelf,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use our websites and services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”). This site currently supports a pre‑launch waitlist and informational pages (e.g., About, Contact). As we add features, we will update this Policy.

If you have questions, contact us at hello@mintshelf.com or by mail at: Mint Shelf, Inc., 120 Precision Dr, Buda, TX 78610, USA.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Waitlist signup: email address (and any optional fields presented by our form).
  • Contact: your name, email, phone number, and the content of your message when you email or call us.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic log data from our hosting environment such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the time and source of your request (used for security and to operate the site).
  • Limited cookies/local storage: we store your theme preference (light/dark) in your browser. Our waitlist provider may set essential cookies to operate referral tracking.

Information from service providers

  • Waitlist provider: when you submit our waitlist form, data is sent to LaunchList (getlaunchlist.com), which processes signups and referral tracking on our behalf.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (e.g., government IDs, health data) through the current site.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services (including managing the waitlist and referral features).
  • Communicate with you (e.g., respond to inquiries; send pre‑launch updates or product news consistent with your choices).
  • Maintain safety and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers/Processors: we use third parties to host the site and operate the waitlist (e.g., LaunchList). They may process limited data to provide their services to us and may use cookies necessary for their functionality.
  • Legal, safety, and compliance: we may share information to comply with laws, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of essential technologies:

  • Theme preference stored in your browser (localStorage) so your light/dark choice persists.
  • Essential/referral cookies set by LaunchList to run the waitlist and referral program. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not currently run analytics trackers on the site.

You can control cookies via your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect site functionality (e.g., referral tracking).

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Services, communicate with you, and meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. For example, we keep waitlist records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We may anonymize or aggregate information so it is no longer associated with you.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Opt‑out of emails: use any unsubscribe link we include or email hello@mintshelf.com to stop waitlist or marketing emails.
  • Access, deletion, correction: you may request access to or deletion/correction of your personal information by emailing hello@mintshelf.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law.
  • Do Not Track: we do not respond to browser DNT signals.

Residents of certain U.S. states (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia) may have additional rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing (such as targeted advertising or sale). We do not sell personal information and do not use the site for targeted advertising. To exercise rights, email hello@mintshelf.com. If you make a rights request, we will not discriminate against you for exercising it.

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process personal data to operate the site, manage the waitlist, communicate with you, and protect our Services (legal bases may include consent, contract, and legitimate interests). Your data may be transferred to the United States where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards. You may have rights under EU/UK law to access, delete, or object; contact us to exercise them.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Services may link to third‑party sites or services. Their privacy policies govern those services; we are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy and update the “Last updated” date.
